Humbabe Athletics was built on a simple idea — that sports can change lives. We’re more than just a place to train; we’re a community where athletes of all ages can grow, learn, and find their confidence.
Located in north Edmond near I-35 and Waterloo, Humbabe started as a dream to give local athletes access to a safe space to train, a quality facility to call home, and a support system that believes in them both on and off the field. We know that not every player will go pro, but every player can become a leader, a teammate, and a person of character.
Our coaches focus on the fundamentals — not just in the game, but in life: hard work, respect, resilience, and teamwork. Whether you’re here for your first hitting lesson, training for the next level, or practicing with your team, you’ll find encouragement, accountability, and people who care about your journey.
At Humbabe Athletics, we cheer for the home runs — but we also cheer for the first hits, the extra effort, the relentless drive of an athlete and the courage to keep showing up. We’re proud to be a small part of so many stories in our community, and we can’t wait to be part of yours.

A Note from the Owner
Hi, I’m Josh Karr — coach, dad, and owner of Humbabe Athletics along with my beautiful family. I have a beautiful wife, Kristen, and two active kids, Ethan and Addie.
I acquired Humbabe with one goal in mind: to create a place where athletes could work hard, have fun, and grow into the best version of themselves — both on and off the field. Over the years, I’ve seen how the right environment can change a player’s confidence, mindset, and even their path in life. I wanted to build that environment here in our community.
For me, coaching isn’t just about mechanics and stats. It’s about teaching resilience when things don’t go as planned, sportsmanship when the game gets tough, and leadership when a team needs someone to step up. I believe every athlete has potential — it’s our job as coaches to help them see it, believe it, and go after it.
No matter what capacity you enter through the doors of Humbabe, thank you for trusting us with your athletes. We’re honored to be part of their journey, and we’re proud to be building something special right here in our hometown.
See you in the cages,
-Josh
